I just lost the 53 tabs I had open. Why won't this version of Firefox 3 ask me if I want to save them when I close it? The one I have at work will. Is it a Mac thing? The only way I can save the tabs is if I shut down my computer without closing Firefox, and I didn't want to do that to install the new Flash player, so I gambled and lost. ::frown:: I'd had some of those tabs open for 2 months.
Fifty-three is a lot, though. I think it speaks to my delusions optimism that even though it had been two months since I opened some of those tabs, I still believed I would get to them eventually. I do the same thing with emails and television. The only show I can think of right now that I have deliberately stopped watching before it ended is Lost. Everything else, I still intend to finish. I swear I will, someday. Here's a list that probably isn't complete:
Stargate Atlantis (2-3 eps remaining)
Pushing Daisies (2 eps)
NCIS (2 eps from last season, which I thought was the series finale)
Dollhouse (2 eps)
Life (at least half a season)
Life on Mars UK (two eps of s1 plus all of s2)
Smallville (I stopped after s4 and they're up to, what, 8 or 9 now?)
Charmed (final season - I taped it all on VHS!)
Six Feet Under (last 2 seasons)
Battlestar Galactica (last 2 seasons)
Babylon 5 (last 3 seasons, though I've been advised I might want to ignore the final one)
due South (about half of the final season?)
In my Gmail To Do list, I actually have an item "Catch up on TV show endings" with that list in it. And then there's Terry's Forever Knight box set I haven't started, sitting on the tall stack of books I intend to read. And let's not even talk about comic books...
Unrelated, since I only watched the pilot out of curiosity, but The Vampire Diaries is
*actually* a show about a vampire WITH A DIARY. I don't know why I was surprised. Hee! Significantly to me, though, watching that show and the latest NOVA today mark the first time I've watched something on my television in almost four months. I feel like I've gotten over some block. And I'm totally excited about next week's Nova: "
Arctic Dinosaurs."
