I don't think I've ever seen a tomato plant do that before. And I still am completely enchanted by the fact that a pig's tail really does that.
I liked the county fairs when I was younger. Actually, I'm not sure what we called them, but as we don't have counties up here maybe they were called borough fairs. Anyway, my only real option from here these days is the state fair and I prefer to skip that.
Could you please 'splain the David Boreanaz reference?

I haven't seen a tomato plant do that either! But it's my first time to grow one upside-down. What I have seen is tomato plants that fall down and spread along the ground - sometimes the stem that's on the ground will take root, and I think that's what my plant was trying to do. It has to grow out the bottom of the pot, then horizontally to get to the edge of the pot, then it can turn upwards again toward the light. Little knobblies started forming on the horizontal parts of the stems awhile ago, and I think the incredible humidity/rain just encouraged them to actually sprout roots.
Ah ha, David Boreanaz and chickens. He has admitted to being afraid of them. They're too "fluttery." He talked about it a little on the Graham Norton Show (at 3:15 in this clip - the wigs for cats bit afterwards is pretty funny too *g*)
Oh, that's embarrassing - I've seen that clip, and I just forgot all about it. I sympathize a bit - I always was a little scared to go in the henhouse when I visited friends whose families kept chickens. I was sure they'd all start pecking me at once!
Oh, don't be embarrassed - the only reason I remembered it from the GNS was because I already knew the information - it's something I've seen fans batting around for years. There are funnier quotes of him explaining it, but in reality, I do sympathize a bit as well. Poultry can be mean! Geese and swans mostly, but I sure wouldn't mess with a tom turkey or a rooster that had it in for me. And I think Boreanaz was attacked by a rooster? Can't remember where I heard him say that.
Of course, he thinks all birds are creepy, and I just think they're fascinating. *g*
Some years back we had a pretty big increase in our Canadian Geese population, and one summer I ended up getting bullied a bit by a few of them.
I was terribly intimidated by an Amazon parrot as a kid and these days I of course have an immense amount of respect for the biting power of all hookbills, no matter what their size!
