Worm farming gains state recognition

A bill signed last week by Gov. Ted Kulongoski declares vermiculture, or worm farming, an official form of agriculture, and worms will join other crops on the state's list of tax-exempt farm products when the bill becomes law in January.

Traipsing off for the weekend (yay!), then I'll be home at the farm most of next week.  I actually feel like I could kind of use a week of sitting alone in my apartment stewing in my own crazy juice before school starts back up, but I guess I can put that off for another few months.

Happy August, friends.
