Hot Damn!, a photo by

Something That Made Me Happy: I was going to talk about how a
hike that turned out to be creepy and confusing did not end in disaster... but then this happened and I had to share how classy my neighborhood is.
If you can't read it, that's Hot Damn! Hot Cinnamon Schnapps Liqueur, 100 proof, and I found the bottle on the ground next to the bus stop by my apartment, capless and nearly empty. Now that's some walking-down-the-street-drunk super fuel. I suppose it might have been shared among multiple people, but... nah. Not behind the bus stop. The reason you can see my balcony floorboards in the picture is that I brought it upstairs, washed it and put it in the recycling. Then scrubbed my hands really well.
Here's a thing that made me happy late last night: definitely not the tornadoes in North Texas, but there was one amateur video taken (like all amateur tornado videos) by a guy who clearly should have been seeking shelter, not standing right next to a debris field with a camera. He was filming this funnel cloud descending on the block next to his house, getting closer and closer, and he was uttering exclamations that signified his great shock and stress:
"Oh shoot."
"Holy SHOOT."
"HOLY MOLY!"
I'm not editing, that's exactly what he said. Adorable.
