On every whirring wing

I'm a bit heartsore. It's just one of those nights, you know, where everything is sadder and prettier. I'm really only fit for listening to Karine Polwart and editing photos. Here's a photo.

In the lorikeet enclosure at the zoo on Saturday, there was a hose hooked up, spraying mist to keep the birds cool. I wanted to get a picture of one of the birds through the mist. I was sure I had ruined this shot by using too fast of a shutter speed, but when I finally got to look at it, I was surprised. You can still see the lorikeet there, but what pops out is the droplets of spray, and the gleam of the sun on the wet branch.
