These are the sunflowers in my dad's garden. They've done spectacularly this year, all without deliberate planting, and I took "me" time this weekend by photographing them.
It's probably going to take me a few days to catch up on things here - I still need to watch Doctor Who before I really venture in to LJ Land and Twitter, and before that I've got to grade exams and maybe even get more than four hours of sleep. (Which I apparently I need now that I'm an old lady.) But I want to thank people for the lovely birthday wishes, cards and things - you, my friends, are a joy. ::snuggles::
