My host city of Groningen gives one summer day to celebrate tolerance, especially tolerance towards non-het sexual orientations. This is the so-called Roze Zaterdag (Pink Saturday) and the city gets a PINK makeover. I giggle so hard because it reminds me of the Sekaiichi pink transformation, though there is no stuffed bear or doll (on the flip side, things are fabulous. OK, not that much, but it sure is colourful). There is a parade and of course music.
