I had my first guest come to stay at my new place on Friday. EX Weekend had rolled around again, so my mom and I made our annual pilgrimage to the CNE. Sand sculptures! I love those, especially the Star Trek ones. The Leonard Nimoy one is so lovely.

Every year, I'm amazed at the creativity and skill that goes into these sand sculptures. I was hoping that there would be at least one Star Trek sculpture, and the Leonard Nimoy sculpture certainly didn't disappoint! :-)

And I love the Star Trek recruitment poster with the female characters on, awesome :)

I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. I'm looking forward to having it on one of my walls. :-)

Oh, thank you! :-) The EX is always one of the highlights of the summer and something we were both looking forward to. We both needed a break and a visit to the EX was ideal. It usually provides excellent retail therapy. *g*

I was happy and relieved that my mom enjoyed Stalky & Co.. It's something I've wanted to share with her for a long time. I was hoping that if I could get her to watch it, she might like it. In any case, you're absolutely right about the joys of being able to share something you love and have that person enjoy it. :-)

There is a Heaven and it's in Japan! Love, love, love the cat cafe and Dalton's delighted and amused reaction to it! It's completely adorable! :-)
