Boredom..
You know what the wonderful thing about boredom is.. When you are bored.. and no one else around you is.. They really don't feel like spending the time making sure you aren't.. I think that you are right and wrong. It's true that there are those that just post so that people can read about them and give them their pitty parties, but there are also those who post to get things out... you know, post and read and reread until they can solve their own issue. (I guess that could be done somewhere less public, but whatever.) There are also those who post because it's where their friends are. They can post the good and bad and have their friends comment and support like they would person to person, but it's done here because they lack the person to person skills. I think my thing is just posting so that in some cases I can get the advice I need, seeing as how I usually post late at night when there is nobody to talk to for advice.
So to critique you (if that is what you are looking for) I would say that you really just aimed what you said at one part of the journal users. Maybe you have a deep down grudge against one particular person/group and that is why, but if not you should have maybe discussed other possible reasons for posting. Many are just looking for attention, but some are just...bored.
