It sucks so hard when a loved one is hurting and you can do nothing to fix it. My poor mom called me yesterday and was just sobbing. Is this still from your dads fall? Any chance there is swelling that just needs to go down after the surgery? I'm not sure how my dad dealt with it when my mom started to have mental issues from Lupus. He never would talk about it. Seeing her like that devastated me but no one in My family would talk about it. All was normal in my little passive aggressive family. I am glad your mom was able to release a but and I hope she finds a Way to do that often. A caregivers life is so hard sometimes. I am so sorry you guys are going through this.

Yeah it's still all related. His spine didn't heal up like they hoped so they had to fuse bones together. I spoke to her today and she seemed a little bit calmer. She said she had gotten him a bath and was able to shave his beard for him, so at least he felt a bit more human and less like a stinky mess. lol I figure in a week or so if his brain issues aren't better we'll call the doctor and see if they want to do more tests on him. I'm hoping that like you said it is swelling that will go down with time and he'll hopefully return to what is normal for him.
