Historical shed in Broome to be restored

Portfolio: Regional Development

Regional Development Minister Brendon Grylls has announced $100,000 funding from the Kimberley Regional Grants Scheme for restoration of the historical Sailmaker’s Shed in Broome.

The single storey corrugated iron shed was built circa 1904 and is a rare example of the type of building associated with the operation of the Broome’s pearling industry.

Dear, Colin

There is a unique house in Peppermint Grove that could do with some work. One of Australia's greatest musicians lived there.

Thanks,
Russell
