Last weekend me and my sweetheart went to High Line Park in the city.
Great place, ladies and gentlemen. If you ever happen to stop by Manhattan, go to High Line!
Where else can you try a cucumber or pineapple-jalapeno Mexican ice? :) tasty stuff by the way

Same with me! I had been to the City a lot as a tourist before I moved here last year and had never heard of it either.
The place is not so famous yet but definitely a landmark already:)

That is a great idea, to use the railroad tracks in that manner. I've always found the diversity of NYC inspiring, although I've never been there. We don't have such diversity in Finland, that's for sure. It's getting more diverse, though. Me and my friend visited a small town last summer, and when we were about to start the journey home, we saw a Muslim woman, wearing the traditional hijab. It struck me then, that it's almost impossible to walk around a town like Helsinki, or even Vantaa (nearby, but with fewer people), and not to see a Muslim, or someone from another country. When I was a little girl, we only saw veiled women on TV.

I agree! That's a great observation about diversity you've made.
And it goes further than just encounters with different culture's representatives on the streets. Look at us here online! we are from all over the world and can communicate so easily here. World has sure shrunk tremendously.

You should come to visit NYC one time. It is a lifetime experience.
I have never been to Helsinki or anywhere in Finland although a Scandinavian cruise has always been one of my dream voyages.

LOL, yes looks pretty green.
The grass hasn't been trampled yet. Wait till all tourists find out about High Line and rush there ;)

I love the High Line. I got the chance to tour the unbuilt third section once and it was really cool. Great pic of you!

thanks!
It must have been cool! Now it is closed for visitors. As far as I know they hope to claim the last section for the park soon.
