Small World

Last weekend me and my sweetheart went to High Line Park in the city.
Great place, ladies and gentlemen. If you ever happen to stop by Manhattan, go to High Line!
Where else can you try a cucumber or pineapple-jalapeno Mexican ice? :) tasty stuff by the way

You get a totally different view of NYC there. Somewhere on Wall Street it may seem that it is a land of bankers in perfect suites and wallets bursting of bank cards... in Times Square there is always a loud crowd of tourists from all over the world. And in High Line touristy and local New Yorks meet and form a perfect combination.
People who brought the concept of High Line to life are geniuses... what a great idea to turn an old piece of rail road that had been out of use for decades into an environment-friendly park, where you can catch a breath of a hectic city race?

I have been living in New York for about 8 month. During these months my world shrank a lot.
The smaller is the place you live in the bigger the world seems to you. The bigger and more diverse is the city you stay in, the smaller is the world.
It is hard to find a place more diverse than NYC. I am sure it is not hard to find places bigger (let me see... Mumbai, Tokyo, Beijing for instance) but the City manages to melt and alloy together all sorts of cultures.
Now world that used to be so gigantic became much smaller. However, after all, it is not a bad thing...

P.S. This weekend will be even more exciting :)
