Mag and I are taking a beautiful cruise around Iceland right now, and I'm trying my best to pick up some Icelandic while we're here - it's such a captivating language! We've gotten off the boat for a couple of days for a little R&R, we're contemplating sticking around in a cottage for a week or so. (Classes don't start until early September, so we have a lot of free time!) Also thinking about taking a looksy around Greenland and all those cool island places while we're up here too, we've made friends with a few generous locals who are more than happy to take us out on an adventure or two.
It's amazing here!
This is where we are currently, in a tiny (tiny being subjective of course, there are 120,165 here and another 200,000 in the Greater Reykjavik area, but it's smaller than NYC) city called Reykjavik right on the coast.
A shot of Mag & I. Yay for self-timers!
Off to have some authentic Icelandic food now, and a lot of ale. Mmmm, ale.
P.S. It's freezing here. The arctic and I do not get along.
Góður bless!
