...Was that an average episode or a fantastic use of meta? *can't tell, has a feeling it might be both*

Pfft, Tikka to Ride was still better. *hides in the fridge*

Doctor Who review will come later, after I've watched it a couple more times (I'm not sure I liked Lady Christina though D:).

Are you going to do V9?

You totally should! It wouldn't be the same without you!

No, this time I'm taking a break. It just isn't as fun for me anymore. Guess I'm just getting old. :D

I think it was both, but I was very pleased by the conclusion :D

(I didn't like her. This is possibly aided by the fact none of my family liked her either and heckled loudly throughout the episode... >_>)

I kept on thinking of her as a Poor Man's Wedy. =/

...

It's so true.

(And kind of makes me less annoyed with her ^^)

True. That was a good ending (although if I had to listen to the Coronation Street part one more time...we don't all sound like that. *is beyond unimpressed, and slightly ashamed of her accent* D:).

(My parents did like her. I just thought she was ridiculously posh, had stolen Hermione's bottomless purse and couldn't empathise with her. At all.

Also, those poor aliens! Apparently, in New Who, the only way for the viewer to connect with the story is if the only people that escape look human...although I still liked them. Is it wrong that I found them kind of adorable, in a 'OH MY GOD, GIANT FLY MONSTER, ARGH!' sort of way?)

I think it was probably a bit of both too actually - I did love the end though. Actually, I loved a lot of it.

I have to say, I've always had a soft spot of Tikka to Ride. Partly because I impressed the entire family by knowing that it was the Kennedy assassination. And because it was fun dammit.

(I didn't think much of Lay Christina either. *sighs*)

Ah, I have a similar soft spot in that I once had something like "If Kennedy had not been assassinated, what effects would that have had on the world?" as a possible coursework question. Oddly enough, that lecturer had never even heard of Red Dwarf. D:

At this point, I don't even think two companions at the same time, neither of which are in love with the Doctor -or keep it to subtext/something vaguely resembling subtext (case in point: that icon)- would completely make me feel better. I think I may just be picky. D:

*laughs* That's a rather awesome question. :) I like it. It's quite sad that I am now trying to think of what my History teachers would say for the answer ... (actually, I suspect the answer is "Not much.")

I know what you mean actually. I am just so jaded with New!Who that I'm not sure I'm giving it a fair chance any more. But it just seems so ... pointless really. I don't get much out of it anyway.
