So, I've been watching Howl's Moving Castle and I forgot how much I love this movie. It's a Miyazaki Hayao movie--the same guy who did Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. On a whim, I decided to see what the dub was like and to be honest . . . its not that bad. The accents are terrible but the translation is pretty on the mark. Of course, the snob in me prefers the subtitles ;) But, in all honesty, I just like a movie that shows a man willing to give EVERYTHING for the woman, or his significant other. It's just that level of commitment for someone who may or may not return that sentiment. It's one of my kinks. Also, a Hollywood notion that's probably true in one of 1,000 marriages. I'm 99.99% sure I'll never find a guy like that in my life so I live vicariously through movies. Go figure. But seriously, check it out. It's a good movie.
