So I just got to see the movie V for Vendetta, starring my favorite of all Zionists--Ms. Portman. I'm not sure I know or care if she playing that role made any difference to the movie. Perhaps more hipster appeal? But I must admit that she reminds me more and more of Wynona Ryder (I like her!). I admit, V was entertaining, but it felt more like Batman with a twist of the Matrix. If anyone reading this goes to see it, don't expect politics that will inspire you. Expect nothing but sensationalism through the commodification of Anarchism and anti-authoritarianism. Literally. It's like the fucking Anarchist A is turned upside down and becomes superhero "V" for Vendetta (revenge and shit, imagine that!, as if Anarchism was for vengeance and shit! *sigh*). Y'all remember that superhero theory you learned at an activist workshop near your college some time between the year 1999 and 2004? Well, millions of dollars later, there you go.
And I can tell already plenty of my activistsy-radical-type friends will fall in love with the film. But seriously, wtf? This shit CO-OPTS so much of real-life struggles that have happened. From political prisoners to censorship in the media, to government corruption, homophobia and queer struggles, torture, etc. And it's all trapped within a Hollywood box. To the point that GW might even say "go see it!" "That's why we have democracy and not tyrants like Sadam." LOL, UGH!
On a jobby job note, we've UNIONIZED!!! Seems like the only fucking way we'll ever have and build on some LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT.
Ah, and the last shit I'm going to complain about V is... what da fuck is up with the anti-Episcopelian (or, mistakenly and realistically "anti-Catholic", if you don't know about the Anglican church and all that) scene with the Bishop??? Seriously insensitive. Honestly, I thought it was outrageous the sick way they used the Episcopalian church and child molestation within this movie. Str8 UP!
Paz!
