back to old times..?

I found my beret. I was the only activist with one back in the days, early 00's. Will I be it again? What does this mean? I have been looking forward to this moment for the past 2.3 years of my life. It is finally here. I hate to say it, but it's such a personality thing that I know I loved having. :)

On other news, I liked shopping for clothes today, in Vegas. It's actually cool hanging out with my ama and just chilling at home sober and all. And we talk politics! I'll see how my last day goes here. Can't wait to see Red Rock again. It's definitely been good getting totally away from work and from SF.

Two days here and hella homeless people approaching me on the street asking for money to eat. I don't think I'd ever seen it this bad. Fucking city officials will probably never allow shelters and any other avenues for food to ever exist outside of downtown/north las vegas. Fucking haters. And this town can be so fucking racist. Reminds me of why I left to become politicized. And this city is sooo violent, unfuckingbelievable what happens here. And sooo much potential for white working-class and communities of color alliances, yet no activists, this town remains too rought for the usual hippie leftist in the U.S. Maybe that's a good thing?

ps: down with Columbus. Long live Indigenous peoples and resistance of the Americas! =]
pps: I saw a movie with Sidney Poitier today, a sort of Black-Brown-Red solidarity western about former black slaves in post-Civil War era going out west to settle in new places away from the south, but of course not without having to defend from harrassment and brutality by gringo racists who didn't like their freedom.
