The Japanese buffet on Sunset and Galloway is absolutely awesome! It's called Shinju Japanese Buffett and it's about $20 for all you can eat. At first, I was skeptical about Japanese food for "all you can eat" because it seemed to be a bit of a paradox. But wow, it was so good. It was also crowded, but the wait was 10 minutes and the hostess was awesome. She was funny.
Before that, in the late afternoon, I watched a friend of mine, Ricky, whom I haven't seen for about four years, play soccor with a bunch of his friends (since I was too shy to join in - but they only had half an hour left anyway). They made me promise to join in next time.
Earlier that morning, I woke up super early to go catch a free chartered bus from University of Miami to Dania beach to participate in a Green Peace aerial view picture as a protest against Global Warming. I went alone but met a whole bunch of cool people. I was so proud of myself for throwing myself out there. I didn't know anyone and none of my friends went with me, but I made new friends... or at least aquaintences. I hung out with strangers. I couldn't have imagined myself doing this two months ago, I don't think. Wow. I'm pretty damned happy.
Now I have to go with my grandmother for lunch (at Shinju!) because it's her birthday.
She's bugging me to go with her since she has no one else to hang out with. Sigh.
