(no subject)
Rosh Hashanah is officially over (well, for Reform anyway) and I don't have to lead another service!! YAY!
That having been said, the service last night went very well all told...messed up on a few tunes, thought we were rushing, but everything worked out fine. We had 87 people crammed into the room! We were actually standing room only! And Dad came, which was awesome. Next year I hope I'm a bit more ready...there's a conference I can go to which should help. The major lesson is that there are a lot more Reform Jews in Pittsburgh looking for services for the High Holidays than anyone realizes.
The rest of Rosh Hashanah was also excellent. We had breakfast, then went to Temple Sinai, where the sermon was...political, the music beautiful, and no one came until 5-10 minutes before the service. Weird. But very nice. Then back here, nap (naps are good), Stratego with Michael, and much vegging. I finally put away my laundry and washed all the dishes including those in the dishwasher (by hand, the dishwasher doesn't work).
That's my day!
