questions for those who've been to/ are in japan
Are students expected to have meishi? I got my hands on some perforated buisiness card blanks, but I don't know any of the information for where I'll be reachable in Japan. I could do some with my email and website only, or I cold wait and bring them with blank, or just not bother.
Also, where is the line between cute and cheap for omiage? I picked up a couple of pez despensers and some silly putty at Cracker barrel. I consider them fun kitch that is distinctly American. Will my host family be offended by my giving them toys and candy and should I pick up something more boring/fancy?
Am I forgetting anything important? I'm leaving in a little over a week... gah!
