Today would be so much better if it were Friday. Such a miserable day. Gaaaawwww... For some reason work has been just one disaster after another...well, more like lots more work every day which is really annoying. It's supposed to get easier as the week goes on. On Monday I had five accounts. On Wednesday I had six. Today I had nine and a half. The fuck?! And my manager is off this week, our supervisor has instilled the "work should be done by three" rule, despite the fact that we're so completely understaffed that it makes me depressed, and if they give me any more permanent fleets I'm going to start a riot. Unfortunately, since there's no one at work anymore, it'd by kind of pointless. I just get stressed because I worry about getting all my work done on time, and I find myself rushing through things to do that, so I'm probably passing up things I should be paying attention to. Not that I have a lot of spare time to email or phone about them, but it's not making me happy.
Ugh. Weekend. NOW. At least I get to drive tomorrow so I can leave on time.
On the upshot, I finished New Moon, book two in the soul-eating Twilight series. I think I can wait on book three. I read the first chapter in the back of of book two, and Bella is too annoying, Edward is too big of a jerk, and Jacob is too pathetically helpless. Man, they were so much better when they started off. Lame. Oh well, time to read my actual good book by Robin McKinley. I know it's at least more interesting and challenging because I've only gotten about forty pages into it in the last three days, whereas a Twilight book would've been bulldozed through and finished by now. Eh.
And I watched Iron Man last night. I love it. I LOVE it. A fantastic Marvel flick. A wonderful superhero film. Not quite as dramatic or tense as Dark Knight, but it was a little looser. Sillier, funnier, your prototypical superhero flick. Awesome. And Robert Downey Jr. is totally delicious and I find myself unseemingly attracted to him. I think it must be the hair. He has great hair. And hey! Paul Bettany as JARVIS. How 'bout them apples?
Next on the list of films to view: The Incredible Hulk (Edward Norton, you're all green!) and 28 Days Later (look out Cillian Murphy!). Such excitement to be had.
I think I'll have dinner now. A crispy grilled cheese should take the edge off this rotten day, and then I shall giggle over some Wait, Wait.
