What an armhole!

So Jim the handyman and his electrician were randomly back today to finish the electrical job, but they need a saw or chisel or something to finish 2 of the sockets now.  At least they made an appointment with Robert to come back tomorrow for sure, so by then I will finally get to sit at my desk for the first time in 1.5 months!! Ah!  My laptop can have a home again!  :)  Jim was also saying that Rachel (our landlord) doesn't keep her properties very well maintained... gee, you think?  We could give them a laundry list of things to fix!!  I understand the house is old and everything, but at the very minimum you should still look the property over every time a tenant moves out and make sure everything still looks ok.  It's a shame really, this place could be a lot nicer than it is if it was properly taken care of.

I'm really proud of myself in that I'm finally wearing sunscreen when I run in the summer.  I've reached that age now where I care more about the health of my skin that its shade.  I'm kind of proud of myself for this.  Then again, I've still managed to get pretty contrasting tan lines already... oh well.

I just found out recently that my good friend Jacob is no longer getting married this July.  :(  I just now found out because I was getting concerned about not having an invitation yet and come to learn that they broke up.  I feel so bad for him, he's been so close a few times now and something always happens to make it fall through.  He's a good guy, he'll land a girl good enough for him yet.  Robert and I are still going home that weekend so we're planning on hanging out with him and Elizabeth (since until yesterday I was still planning on seeing them that weekend!) still.  I think it will be a lot of fun, I can't wait.

I can't remember if I've mentioned this lately/yet, but my allergies are roaring out of control this season.  I started taking Allegra D, but I have to admit that I haven't felt much different.  I thought it was supposed to be really good, but I stopped taking it and honestly I feel about the same, no worse.  :(  It's a good thing we bought Kleenex in bulk because I'm going through them like chocolate bars. It's miserable.  I don't think I've had allergies this bad (last year aside, I had good medicine then) in... a very long time.  I hope this crazy pollen goes down soon.

It's really funny to watch "I Love You, Man" on TV censored.  Shirt = shit, armhole = asshole... it cracks me up.  Half the time I'm not even sure what they're saying because there are just so many random words thrown in that I'm not used to hearing in that context.

friends, allergies, running, apartment
