I'm way behind on posting fun stuff I've been doing.  Several weeks ago I went to Spokane with a good friend, Radbooks, who also has a LJ here.   One of the places we went was Cat Tales.  They take in big cats who need homes.  We saw some beautiful animals there and heard sad and interesting stories of their lives.  It is a wonderful and kind place ( Read more... )

We had a wonderful time camping at Alder Lake Park, WA, this weekend.  The weather was beautiful and HOT.  Mt. Ranier was super clear and there were nice "easy" hikes around the lake.  While we were there we were able to take a trip on the Mt. Yay!  My friend, who has been working hard on her writing has finally got the kudos!  She won in both fan fiction categories that she was nominated for in for the MC Awards.  I'm SO happy for her and I wish her a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I have a friend who was able go to an exclusive Volks Ball Jointed Doll Tea Party in LA.  It was held in a beautiful mansion over several days.  During the time she was there they had a Doll Presenting Ceremony in which the actual President of the Volks Doll Company flew over and performed the ceremony!  What a honor.  Here's a picture of that:
