Soul Searching

She had a dream last evening
Her head swam
Her heart danced
You were in her dream last evening
The dream was of you and you alone
And yet you were not, for she was with you
Or you were with her, for it was her dream
Your arms coiled around her as if she had willed it
But somehow she knew it was all by your choice
SHe shivered; real quiet, she drew herself closer
She needed your touch like she needed air
She longed for your embrace, though she had found it
She still was alone and she knew it, inside
So she held you and went silent
Her tears would not come
What use was the dream to her?
