Silent Thunder

Dec 09, 2004 16:24

Black
Red
Rare flashes of white
Rage
Flame
Fear

Lightening strikes across the barren skies
Causing the starts to flicker and dance
In its wake

The night air is crisp
The grass moist with dew
As he sits beneath the willow
Contemplating

Thunder echoes within his ears
Amplified tenfold
He cringes inwardly
Not from the cold of night
or dampness
or fear

The lightening has no effect on him
It is his heart
His longing
That causes this conflict
From within
