crazyotter has already posted about it, but Bam Bam passed away yesterday afternoon after struggling with an enlarged, infected prostate that was likely caused by his adrenal gland tumor. I think he had been missing his brother and sister, so as much as we miss him, I’m sure they’re all running around together, causing trouble.

Got a little sailing in yesterday - but the wind was so light we ended up pulling up to the beach early. Oh well, hopefully we'll get out again tomorrow for a couple hours. In the meantime, we had some afternoon showers today and I felt like taking pictures

Tropical storm Alpha (previously tropical depression #25) just became the 22nd named storm this season - breaking the record for the number of named storms in a season. It formed into a storm just to our west - when it passed by us a couple days ago it was just a tropical wave, bringing plenty of rain, but no real excitement. Its dropping lots of ( Read more... )

Today is Thursday - which means I spent the morning playing volleyball. We've gotten a bit of rain recently - we'd get heavy showers for 15-30 minutes the past few days, and last night we got a very heavy downpour with lots of wind for an hour or more (it started around 11:30pm, and I fell asleep before it stopped. This past month has been busy - with work, moving (now in Webster), getting ferrets, and spending a lot of time driving back and forth around New England.

  The boats are the neighbors - the owners took their's back home. We may acquire a kayak for our use during the months that the lake isn't frozen over. In the meantime, it's a nice view every evening.
