These was a sort-of convention for vintage cars in town, there was a parade-thingy where the owners drove their old cars through town and my dad took a few pictures.
Some were nice, some were clunky (one was shaped like a rectangular box), one was freaking gorgeous - Aston Martin - , and then there were the cars from the GDR.
One looked like I took my camping tent and put wheels under it - I could swear that the exterior is actually fabric.
I'm not sure if this would be a step up or down from the cardboard cars...
ps: We call them Trabbi, short for Trabant (satellite), but I haven't actually found an English word for them. (okay, wikipedia just says "trabant" as well....lazy)
