happiness is temporary and very hard to come by. there is no such thing as a good life or a good person. in the end ou always get screwed. try as hard as you may you won't win. you can do your part, but other won't follow through with theirs. maybe that's just in my life you may think to yourself, but you're wrong. i've just come to reality. why is ( Read more... )

such sad thoughts.. quietworld March 18 2003, 18:12:13 UTC
(thankes for the recent comments! - the cats are really pleased that slayer is gone.. they were purring machines tonight. oi.)

I just wanted to toss in one thought, or piece of advice:

If you and a person truly love one another, then distance will not matter. Sure, it sounds cliche, but seriously, if you two really truly are head over heels in love and dedicated to one another, then where you both go to school shouldn't matter. You will both be together in the end. You should read this poem called "Valediction Forbidding Mourning" - John Donne.

It's one big metaphysical allusion - comparing the love of Donne and his wife to that of a compass. . . the sort of compass used in geometry and math, not the directional/navigational compass. The gist of the poem is simply that their love transcends the physical, becomes spiritual.. loving of the heart, soul, body, and mind - and because of that love and that bond, no matter how far he roams (his occupation required that he travel) he will always return to her.. just like the compass has one arm that moves wide and far, but always returns to the stationary, anchoring arm.

It'll be alright if things were meant to be between you two.

I miss talkin' to you.
