Bernard dusted the snow off his hair as he walked into his apartment. It wasn’t the best apartment, but he bought it so he loved it. He dropped his bag by the door, hung up his jacket, and dragged himself over to his computer. He didn’t know what was worst the lunch crowd or the dinner one. Bernard pulled up his bank account and smiled at the amount. His check cashed, leaving him enough money for the essentials like food, rent, and coffee with enough left over to do what he wanted.
Bernard grinned as he signed out of his account.
He was one-step closer to earning enough for an engagement ring.
