Note(s): I haven't decided on a concrete date yet, but this piece probably takes place around the mid 30s? The new of the district is Les Argent de Rue or "The Silver Street". Minor nobleman and other financiers live and conduct business in this area of Morelessa.
“The King will bankrupt the country if he keeps wasting the treasury,” Michel said to the rest of the financiers.
They were in their daily meeting discussing the state of the treasury and how to fill it up more or at least to stop the funds from depleting.
“I tell you Emeri doesn’t seem so great anymore,” Luc said sighing.
“He won’t deplete the treasury,” Benjamin said apathetic. “Even if he does, he’ll arrange for a loan from another nation or something. That’s what his daughters are for.”
“But…” Michel said worriedly.
“You worry too much, Michel,” Benjamin said standing up. “Monde will never go broke. That’s what we are here for.”
“If you so,” Michel said.
Benjamin smiled. “I do.”
