She couldn’t understand the thrill of poi. It tasted like sour crap to her. Mason finally noticed that the Latina just wasn’t eating and also noticed the full bowl of poi.
“You’re not going to eat that?” He asked.
“No!”
“Then give it here! You’re wasting good food!”
Ana nodded in agreement and Lani just shook her head, handing her plate.
