Notes: This piece takes place before the birth of Elisabetta's children (Jean Luc, Marie, Anna, Pierre) are born and thus before her grandchildren are born (Too many to list, so I'm not even going to try :P). Elisabetta is traveling from homeland of Canillo to Monde to marry the Duke of Cadomiselle.
“What do you think he will be like?” Elisabetta asked excitedly.
Her elder brother Faustino rolled his eyes. He stared out the carriage window.
Undeterred, Elisabetta turned to her uncle, Carmelo.
“Zio Carmelo, what do you think he will be like?”
Carmelo smiled at her. He put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her close.
“The important question is my dear, what do you think he’ll be like?”
Elisabetta smiled. “I think he’ll be the perfect gentlemen. He takes good care of his sisters and his mother. He’ll be the perfect example of a Mondian duke.”
Faustino scoffed. “And what do you know of how any Mondian duke behaves? I know you don’t read.”
“I do read Faustino, just not those heavy tomes you’re so fond of.”
“Yes, you’re so fond of that nonsense,” Faustino muttered.
Elisabetta stuck out her tongue at him. Carmelo smiled indulgently at them. They would probably be at each other’s throats for the entire trip.
