Summary: Seth finds something to do during a meeting.
Word count: 275
Notes: I haven't finished their story which was my NaNo in 2010, but they are part of Pleasant Surprise just as side characters. I don't know if you remember, but Seth is the Shadow Demon and his mother is Claire. Alex is the angel. They fight, but they love each other. I love these two. :) Enjoy!
Seth sighed softly as he sat back in his chair. He hated meetings. They were so boring. He quietly took a page out of a nearby notebook and scribbled on it. Seth nudged Alex with his foot and slid the note across when he looked up.
Alex opened it and read the message. I’m so bored. Aren’t you?
Alex scribbled his response and pushed it back. Seth opened the note and grinned at the message inside.
I am, but we have to stay here, until it’s over.
Seth responded and pushed it back. Alex’s lips twitched at the message inside. Why? I’m sure no one would notice if we leave for a few minutes.
Alex wrote his answer and pushed it back. Seth made sure Karin was distracted before he opened it. Yes, they would. Karin would figure it out and we’ll be in trouble, again.
We won’t do it in her office again.
Which was a silly idea in the beginning.
You didn’t think that. Not with the way, you gripped the desk.
Keep talking and you’ll be in that room alone.
You’ll think about me the whole time. Admit it.
I’ll admit nothing.
The blush on Alex’s face was enough answer for Seth. He grinned and slid another note across.
How about we go out after this? You and me, how does that sound?
That sounds fine. I pick the place this time and if you’re good, you’ll get dessert.
I like how that sounds.
Alex grinned as he placed the note in his pocket. Seth leaned back in his chair with a pleased smile.
Maybe meetings didn’t have to be so boring.
