14. Notch on the bedpost
Walking past Josh's bed, I went to the desk to grab my wallet. I paused seeing a small piece of paper on top and after picking it up read:
Give me a call sometime, sexy
Natalie
After the message, there was a number and I sighed. This was like the sixth girl that Josh had gotten with in a month now. He had this habit of finding girls and then giving them up out of nowhere. When I asked him why he did that to those girls, he answered that, "they just weren't the right one". I had no idea what the "right one" was in his eyes but right then and there I promised myself that I wasn't going to do that to my girl. My girl was definitely going to stick and I wasn't going to have to put a notch on my bedpost at anytime.
2. Hard to Get
Staring was getting harder not to do as I watched Phoenix take the bridle and reins off of her horse. She removed them and then before heading to put them away, lifted up the hem of her red tank top to wipe some sweat off of her face. I paused in tying Wisdom to the corral to watch how the caramel skin of her stomach shimmered light in the sun. She dropped the hem and then headed to the corral gate to put the bridle on top of. I stood up slowly and let my eyes slowly trail up the nice form fitting jeans covering her legs and hips, and up her back to the dark brown ponytail hanging high in the air. As if she knew I was watching her though, Phoenix turned her head slowly and caught my gaze. We stared, not knowing what the other one was thinking. In the end, I smirked...still letting her know that I was indeed interested in her. Phoenix instantly gave me a soft smile at first, but then frowned as if she didn't know what made her do that first action. After giving me one last glance she headed toward the house, hips swaying and hypnotizing as always. I shook my head at this treasure of a woman. That smile gave me hope though. She wanted me...she just didn't want me to know it. Quite the coy kitten she was.
Good thing I had a way with cats...
5. Taking it Slow
After I rode Wisdom home from Redbird Ranch, I leapt down and lead him to the stable where Reign was already resting. After taking Wisdom's tack off and letting him in his stall to relax, I leaned against the door and sighed thinking about the events that happened earlier. There was a time where I really could feel Phoenix's resistance all day long. The corral job she gave us, told us that she was just being a naughty kitty. I couldn't help kissing her though. At first it was just to bring her feistiness down a notch, but then...
I let out a soft moan and closed my eyes as I remembered more.
Then...it was like the heat of her body just radiated up to her lips and I couldn't get enough of it. Her body felt so right in my hands; her curves fitting right in my palms. The smell of sunshine on her skin was almost enough to make me tear all those layers of clothing off of her and take her on the barn floor with the horses watching. She was intoxicating and I'd be damned if I didn't get me another kiss before I left her. That one was just as good. Opening my eyes, I smirked also remembering that she had finally let down the first wall of her fortress and wanted to be friends.
Yeah, us being friends was okay...but with such an exhilarating kiss and even more devastating body like hers, friendship wasn't going to last too long. I started walking out of the stable and toward the house set on one thing. Having Phoenix as mine. It was going to take a while and that chilly heart of hers was bound to take a while to melt, but I just knew in the inside that it was worth doing the melting. It was definitely worth it.
9. Double Entendre
Josh and Mic were downstairs, playing pool. As we sat watching TV together, I motioned for Phoenix to take a jawbreaker from the bag I was holding. Phoenix looked down at it and then at me. I nodded, letting her know it was fine to get one. She reached in and pulled out a nice orange one. As she put it in her mouth, she smiled at me "Thank you." I nodded and pulled another one out as well for myself. I was the weirdo who grew up thinking it was better to have two jawbreakers in your mouth than just one. It gave me more flavors that way. We enjoyed our candies while watching more television. Unconsciously, I put the bag toward her again and waited. She hesitated and then grabbed another one, seeing that I already had two in my mouth. She looked at the red one she now had and then after putting it to her mouth, shook her head hopelessly.
"I really don't know if I can fit these two balls in my mouth. They are so big!" She said in a sincere tone before lowering her hand down with the uneaten candy.
The jawbreaker farthest back in my mouth nearly lodged in my throat, almost choking me as I heard those seemingly innocent words. After saving myself, I turned my head and just stared at her; wondering if she even knew what she just said. Phoenix giggled at the television, then after looking at me, widened her eyes seeing my look. She was confused.
"What? What did I say?"
"What DID you say?"
Phoenix thought then said, "I said these two balls were...too big?" She realized her mistake then gasped covering her mouth. I smirked and she giggled again before gracing me with a beautiful smile. I nodded, turning my head toward the television again. "What a very naughty thing to say, Bosswoman." Phoenix raised an eyebrow before saying "I'm only responsible for what I say, not for what you understood." I chuckled.
Indeed...
I glanced at her out of the corner of my eye. She caught my gaze and then deliberately put the second ball right in her mouth. I tried to keep my eyes widening to a minimum but failed. That was extremely hot.
"Yep, they definitely..." I coughed, nervously. "fit."
She giggled.
7. In Your Arms
"Chaise, heads up!" I looked up just in time to get a huge splash of lake water all in my face. I laughed and advanced towards my best friend, intent on revenge. "Run baby, run!" Mic yelled out as Josh dove under the water to get away. I smirked smugly. He could be such a coward at times. I looked around and noticed Phoenix all by her lonesome, waist deep in the water. She was looking up at the sky. Mic squealed as Josh carried her back in the water and I took that chance to wade over toward my lady.
"Hey." She turned her head, hearing my voice; her braids flying over her shoulders. I smiled softly. "Why you way over here by yourself, sweetheart? We doing too much roughhousing for you? We can stop." She gave a small smile back and said, "No...it's ok. I was just reminiscing." I came over closer to her, nearly chest to back. "Oh yeah? Can I ask what about?" She stared at me, I guess to figure if she could trust me. "My mom and dad used to swim with me here. It was always so peaceful with them. You know? Like nothing could bother us." I nodded, listening. "It's just...not the same without them here." She looked up again then gave a light giggle. "I guess I sound pretty silly, huh?" She asked me.
I gave the truth. "Not at all." She smiled again.
We spent a minute or two looking up at the sky before I noticed her shivering a bit. I put my hands on her shoulders. She looked back at me in question. "I'm going to hold you. Is that ok?" She was silent, but nodded her approval. I moved my hands to replace them with my arms, wrapping her into my embrace. She sighed and I closed my eyes in bliss. Her skin was soft and cool from the lake water. After standing there together like that a while, Phoenix turned around in my arms and stared up into my eyes. I stared back, my feelings for this woman unrelenting. The jade of her eyes were so intense, luring me in closer and closer to her. I could feel her body tense up a bit, like she always did when we got to this point.
"I'm going to kiss you. Is that ok?" I asked in a deep voice.
Phoenix was breathless against my lips. "Yes." She whispered. I smiled before catching her lips with mine. She wrapped her arms around me, gripping my back as we kissed. She held on at first but the kiss proved to be too potent and I could feel her body weakening. I held her closer in my embrace. There was no way I was letting her go either.
6. Come a Little Bit Closer
We were now in a stalemate. I stared at my girlfriend and she stared back. This was the fourth attempt at the aerial move that was going to be our finisher at the competition. She had fallen so many times that now she was skittish. I couldn't say it was all my fault though. She just didn't have enough trust in me to feel comfortable in the air. I sighed and rubbed my hands on my jeans. We had to get this finished because time wasn't on our side. I motioned to Phoenix with my hand.
"Come on, let's try again." I said.
She just stared at me. I tried again.
"Come here, Fire."
"Hell no." she said in a firm voice. "I'm done almost falling to my death, thank you very much."
I rolled my eyes at what a drama queen she was being. "I caught you every time, Miss. In case you don't remember."
Phoenix gave me a stubborn pout. "No, I don't."
I shook my head at her. "Ok, then I'll come to you. She didn't move and I quickly found myself in front of her. She glared up at me and I smirked. Then in the next minute trapped her arms behind her back. Phoenix tugged against the resistance of my arms and I stopped her saying firmly. "Hey now...look at me." She did slowly and I said, "You need to trust me if we are ever going to do this, Bosswoman." She stared up at me still and I cocked my head. "Don't you know by now, that I would let nothing and I mean nothing happen to you, Phoenix?" Phoenix's eyes softened as I got her right where I wanted her. I knew what was wrong. She lost her parents and so...life was a treasure to her. She didn't want nothing to happen to it. I didn't want her to feel like that. "I'll take care you, my lady. Ok?" She didn't answer and I grabbed her hand closest to mine to spin her around. After she faced me again, she gave a squeak in surprise as I picked her up, threw her up slightly into the air and caught her, spinning around once more. I stared down at her in my arms.
"You trust me?" I asked for a final time.
Phoenix stared at me hard then nodded.
I smiled and winked saying, "All right. Let's do this, then."
11. Slip Into Something More Comfortable
"What do you think is taking them so long?" Josh asked me, taking a swallow of his beer. I shrugged. Phoenix and Mic had said that they wanted to change before watching the movie with us. I shrugged answering, "You know how women are. They have to make sure that their hair looks good even when they are relaxing." Josh gave a laugh and said, "Yeah, you're right. But for how long they are making us wait, they better be naked." I paused in taking a drink; the thought of Phoenix fully nude in my mind too much to pass up.
"Okay, we're back!" Mic exclaimed as she and Fire came into the living room again. She leapt into Josh's lap wearing a Cardinals jersey. Josh definitely noticed her new attire and asked while rubbing on her legs. "Mmm...what you got on under there, babe?" Mic giggled saying, "Wouldn't you like to know." Josh nodded.
"Damn straight, I would!" Mic kissed his cheek saying. "Then we'll see...maybe after the movie." Josh smiled. "I'm going to hold you to that." I shook my head at the two and then heard "Ahem..." I turned my head and saw Phoenix standing there with a quilted blanket. My eyes trailed down her body and my mouth fell open. She was wearing a white silk sleeveless top with orange flowers that seemed to have quite a deep neckline and a cropped skirted bottom. Matching shorts completed the ensemble. Her hair was down and I guess she could really the feel the intensity of my gaze because she held the blanket close to her stomach. "Um...got some spare couch for me?" I heard her ask. I quickly moved over for her. "Yeah. Hell yeah, babe! Have a seat." She folded one leg under her before sitting, opening her quilt and putting it over her legs. I cleared my throat looking around. Mic caught my gaze with knowing eyes. She smirked and I shrugged, taking a swallow of my beer.
As the movie started, I heard Phoenix ask, "Would you like some blanket, Chaise?"
I shook my head furiously. "No, thank you, baby." I trailed my eyes up and down her body once more before saying. "I'm warm enough...definitely." Phoenix smiled and looked down, probably blushing. I nearly rubbed my bottle against my head to cool myself.
But I didn't even think that would help.
4. On the Cheek
I woke up, vaguely hearing Josh calling out my name. I slipped out of Phoenix's bed silently. I reached down and put on my t-shirt. After grabbing my hat and putting it on, I folded up the covers that I had on the floor at first. After making sure they were in a good place, I finally turned around to see the goddess still asleep in the middle of her bed. Last night was heaven and I didn't have a single nightmare while she was sleeping in my arms. She just felt right and I had the best rest I could ever remember having. Looking down at Fire, I noticed how peaceful she looked with her auburn hair strewn all over the place. I just knew there was no other woman like her. I couldn't imagine ever wanting to be with anybody else. The door creaked open slow and I saw Josh poke his head in. "Hey, you ready to go?" He whispered. I nodded, letting him know I'd be downstairs. After he left, I kneeled down on the bed; careful not to wake her up. "Bye baby...sleep good." I whispered, leaning down and kissing her cheek. Phoenix didn't wake, but I was pleased to see a small smile appear on her face. Satisfied with that, I moved off the bed and headed out of the room. I looked at her one more time before closing the door to heaven.
12. Between the Sheets
The covers fell off my back, but I barely noticed. Phoenix stared up at me and I closed my eyes, trying to concentrate so that I didn't hurt her more than I intended. "Are you ok, baby?" I nearly panted out. Phoenix gave me a strained expression as I moved deeper inside her and she gasped out, "It...um...hurts, Chaise. Is that supposed to happen?" I opened my eyes and saw the fear inside her eyes. I stroked her face and said, "Yes, baby. But it won't forever." She licked her lips anxiously and for a while focused on the rain shower outside. I took this as my chance and gripped her hips, pushing myself forward quick like. I felt something give slight and Phoenix cried out in pain, her eyes wide in surprise. I stopped moving and gave her a chance to get used to my size. Her nails dug into my arms and I winced. But I knew that this pain must have been nothing to what she was feeling. That alone was enough for me and I began to come back out.
Her hands gripped my arms, stopping me. I looked down at her prone naked form in question. "No..." She panted out. "Don't come out...and don't stop." My eyes softened at her bravery. "Are you sure, sweetheart? I don't want to hurt you." Phoenix brought me closer to her by my back and said, "Yes. You said this won't last forever, right." I nodded. She closed her eyes; a tear coming out the corner. Then she opened them and said in three simple words, "I trust you." Hearing that I nodded again and braced my body up with my arms above her. I began to move forward and back, hearing her small whimpers as she got used to the pain. While moving still inside her, I lowered myself back down, kissing her mouth softly. She looked up at me with complete trust and I said. "This is going to get better. I promise." She nodded and I raised her chin up to look at me. "I love you, Phoenix."
She finally managed a smile. "I love you too, Cowboy."
3. Fooling Around (NC-17 Warning)
"No, Chaise! Stop! Leave me alone!" Phoenix laughed out as she ran away from me.
"Why? That defeats the purpose of tag, Firebird!" I exclaimed as I got closer and closer to her.
Phoenix then stopped a couple a feet ahead of me and turned in what looked like surrender. "Oh, this is too easy babe. Give me a challenge!" I said, getting closer to her. Before I could catch her in my arms however, she jumped to the side, letting me fall into the grass in a pathetic heap. I shook my head in shock and slight embarrassment. Fire laughed for a little bit until she saw the predatory look in my eyes. She squealed, running off again. I quickly got up and ran after her; the thrill of playing football running through my veins. I grabbed her in a small tackle, buffering the fall as we landed in the field on my back. Phoenix struggled to get away, but with my big arms I easily overpowered her; putting her on her stomach. Next, I leaned over her with my weight, tickling her over and over. Her hysterical laughter rang through the atmosphere and I laughed along with her.
"Now, that wasn't very nice, was it?"
"No." Phoenix giggled out.
I gave her a soft spank on the ass. "What should I do about that?"
Phoenix jumped at the smack still giggling, "I don't know! It's not my fault you're clumsy!"
"OH...jokes now, huh?" I said, situating myself between her legs as she laughed.
"Well, it's not my fault!"
"Mmhmm..." I muttered, now thinking of a perfect way to punish my naughty cat. With one hand holding her still on the grass while she still laughed, I reached to the zipper of my jeans, letting loose what was straining to come out. Phoenix's laughter immediately stopped at the sound. "W...what are you doing?" she asked in suspicion I didn't answer, just moved up her mini skirt, moved her red panties to the side and entered her in one movement. Phoenix gasped and I moved my hand away from her back, knowing she wouldn't want to get away. I plunged in deeper, feeling her shiver against me.
"Who's clumsy now?" I panted out deep against her ear. Phoenix clutched the grass, moaning out "Mmmm...nobody..."
I moved faster against her ass cheeks, gripping them tightly. "Oh really? You sure I'm not clumsy?"
She gave out another moan. "Mnn..nooo..." Her hips started moving against me in a rhythm only we knew. I reached up to her shoulders, holding them so that could plunge in and out of her as deep as I could go. Her mouth opened and she cried out over and over as I mercilessly sped up against her.
"Maybe next time," I started, trying to hold back a groan of my own. "You should watch what you say so you won't get punished like this."
"No." I looked down at her and after putting her shoulders back down saw her look back at me. "No, I won't watch what I say...because if this is punishment..." I stopped waiting for the rest. "Then I'm happy to call you clumsy at any time." I smirked and situated our bodies so that her ass was in the air and her torso on the grass. I entered her slowly again, earning a groan from both of us and as I moved again, I said, "I'll see what I can do about that, baby."
"Good." Was all she panted out.
1. Naughty but Nice
"Michaela, what the hell is this?" I asked in a tone of disbelief looking through the webcam at our best friends. Mic gave me a bright smile as Josh said, "I told her not to get it, dude." Mic hit Josh lightly as she explained, "That's my gift for you so you can give a gift to Firebird." I reached in the small box to pull out my "anniversary gift". It was a g-string. A black g-string with what looked to be tuxedo like designs on the front. Seeing this gift made my cheeks explode in red color. I held it up with two fingers as if it was going to burn me. "Am I supposed to wear this?"
Mic smacked her lips in slight annoyance. "Yes, that would be nice. Don't worry because Fire has one too." Okay, now this was getting interesting. "Except hers has bride stuff on the front of hers. See how sexy that is for your wedding anniversary?" I nodded, not really knowing what to say. Josh shook his head. "I know, dude. I understand." He said. Mic hit him again, chastising, "Joshawa, he didn't ask for your opinion! Hope you like it, Chaise." I gave a smile and put the garment back in the box wondering if there was a way I could get away with just Phoenix wearing hers.
15. Kiss & Make Up
"Chaison..."
At the sound of my wife's voice, I looked up from my schoolwork seeing her standing at the front door with her hands over her upper arms. She was wearing a white dress shirt and black business pants. I cocked my head at her wondering what she could possibly have to say after what happened at the strip club I found her at.
"Yes, ma'am?"
Phoenix held her head up and her shoulders and stated in a even tone. "I did it. I got a new job."
I blinked, not expecting her to say that. "What?"
"I got a new job. I'm working at Victoria's Secret now at the mall." I was speechless. This is what she was doing during the day? Finding a new job?
Phoenix kept her gaze on me saying, "I don't want to lose you, Chaison. That job and even this one doesn't mean anything if you're not in my life, handsome." She looked down and then said, "I'm so sorry for betraying your trust like that. Please forgive me."
Before she could even say another word, I had put my papers and books down and now had her pinned up to the wall, kissing her deeply. "Please...forgive me?" she moaned out as I pulled back her head by her hair, kissing up her neck now. I held her face in my hands and said, "I forgive you baby and I love you so much. You make me so happy." Phoenix smiled, a tear coming down her face. I kissed the tear away, nearly tearing off her shirt to get to her body.
10. Tangled Up in You
We sat in our tub, our legs tangled up around each other under the water. We were silent in awe of the events the night before. "So...we're millionaires." Phoenix said to me. I nodded against her bare shoulder. "Yep."
"We won 37 million dollars."
I chuckled. It still wasn't hitting her. "Yes, ma'am."
She shocked me with the next question. "What are we going to do with all that money?"
I thought about it. "Well, first we're going to get the hell out of this hell hole of a city. Let's go somewhere new." I didn't want to go back to Prescott just yet; the barn hadn't been worked on at all and I didn't want to upset her. "We'll fix up the barn back home, but until then...where do you want to go, Fire?"
"I always wanted to go to Colorado. Mom and Dad are there." Phoenix said, rubbing my dampened arm. "Colorado, huh?" I asked, thinking of the possibilities.
"Yeah, that would be nice, wouldn't it?"
I thought about it some more. "Yeah, and we can work on making another horse ranch."
"No, not a ranch." She said softly.
"No?"
"No...a farm. A horse farm, where we can breed and train even better than before."
I smiled. Her heart was always with her horses. "I like that idea, beautiful."
Phoenix seemed shocked I agreed. "You would really do that with your money."
I looked down at her; at the jade I knew so well. "Phoenix, I would give you the world if I could."
She smiled. "Not the world. Colorado will do."
I smiled back.
8. Tender Loving Care
"Okay..." I said coming into the room with a tray. Phoenix looked up me with her injured ankle propped up on some pillows. Her stomach swelled out with our children and I felt a surge of pride as I put the tray down on the bed. "What you got there, Cowboy?" She asked leaning over to see. "Aww...you made oatmeal." She said, smiling with warmth. I nodded and put the bowl up to her face giving her a spoonful. She tasted it, swallowing slowly. I waited for her to say how it tasted, but didn't get anything.
"It's not good, huh?"
Phoenix took another spoonful and then said, "Actually it's pretty good." I grinned. "I know it's not as good as yours but I remember how my mom made it. Just butter and sugar. Go ahead and eat up. Then relax. I'll take care of the kids and chores today." Phoenix gave me a sweet smile. "You take such good care of me, Chaison. I grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it saying, "Would you expect anything less from your soulmate?" She shook her head, using that hand to stroke my face. "No, not when my soulmate is you, honey."
I grabbed her hand again, kissing the palm of it.
13. Sleeping Beside You
It's about midnight now. As I glance down, I see you sleeping peacefully on my shoulder. You are so beautiful. Even after years of being together, I still can't see myself with anybody else other than you. This force of attraction for each other even after ten wonderful years is still so very strong. I wouldn't change anything about you. Not your gorgeous hair or your amazing jade eyes and definitely not your incredible body. You are a wonderful person and a hell of a mother. Six kids is not an easy task, but you got it down, my lady. I'm in disbelief sometimes that God has given me you. Not even just God, but Carrie and Ty too. I see them all the time in you and I just think that they are smiling down at me, knowing that I was the right guy for you. I will do right by them and you by sticking by your side. You are my destiny and I love you for that.
I guess I better stop rambling in my brain and get some sleep.
Good night, Phoenix. I know I'll see you in the morning.
