“Go on, I dare you!”
“Are you mad?  A guy could get killed doing that!”
“Ah come on Reggie, it's not that far, anyone could do it!”
“If anyone could do it then why don't you do it Rista?”
The tall boy stood up.  “Sure, why not. I bet you're still too much of a coward to do it though.”
“You jump, I jump,” Reggie told him as he got to his feet.  “Go on.  You first.”
“Come on guys, it's a hell of a long way down, you don't want to do this.”
“Oh shut up Lisa,” Rista said.  “Don't worry, we don't expect you to do it, you're a girl after all.  Okay, here goes!”
Rista sprinted towards the edge of the roof and leaped off, arms wind milling wildy.  He landed safely on the roof of the building next door.  “Come on Reggie, your turn!  It's easy!”
“Don't do it, Reggie!” Lisa pleaded.  “What if you don't make it?”
Reggie shook off her hand impatiently and jogged towards the edge.  “Rista made it didn't he?  I'll make it too.”

Lisa sat by Reggie's bed listening to the machines beep and whirr as they kept her twin alive. “If only we hadn't gone,”she whispered, more to herself than to him.  “We should have stayed home and gone to school where our parents wanted us to.  They said the Academy was bad news, Reggie. Why didn't we listen?”
