"And what else am I supposed to do?" Fai all but shouted, expression twisting into something like agony. " ( Read more... )

I love you, Aldan. I mean, a lot. He does a splendid job of reassuring and convincing Kitra at the same time. Great job.

I think I forget Aldan sometimes because I like Kitra's relationship with Shuang and Fai and I like their relationship too - but he's not just this random smart guy, he's also someone who was looking for magic before they realised it was back, so he knows a lot more than they (and I) seem to give him credit for. So yes. Also, I'm glad it didn't seem like he was just trying to make her go and do all the work for them, because I was concerned he was coming off a bit callous in places :). So yep, thanks!

Aldan's pretty freakin' awesome, no lie! I love how Kitra abruptly realizes he's not just some nose-in-a-book scholar all the time but he also gets how the world works.

Can I just say again that I'm so very, very glad that Shuang did not die?!

Oh, he really is awesome sometimes :D and yeah, I think I've said before that even I forget that though Aldan is a scholar he's very capable socially and does understand what people are thinking.

And yes, yes you can :P. Ha, I'm honestly surprised it wasn't obvious I hadn't killed him - because I love him that much and if he wasn't there the group would just fall apart. But, you know, I'm still glad people did believe it ;D.
