Title: Talk Show
Summary: Romeo has news for the band.
"Who was that?" Sammy asked, looking up from his book. The band had gathered at Alex and Romeo's house after a practice session. Sammy had sprawled out over the living room floor, reading a book, while Talon and Ryan took over the couch, watching a baseball game TV. Romeo and Alex had been sitting together on the loveseat till Romeo's cell went off, causing Romeo to leave the room to take the call.
"It was Steve," Romeo said as he sat down again beside Alex on the loveseat.
"Our manager Steve?" Talon asked, muting the TV and looking over at Romeo.
"Yeah," Romeo replied.
"How many other Steves do we know?" Ryan said teasingly.
"I don't know. I just wanted to make sure," Talon said, blushing slightly. "I don't want to have a whole conversation and it turns out to be some other Steve."
"Because I'm sure that would happen," Ryan said with a roll of his eyes.
"What did he want Romeo?" Sammy asked, trying to bring the conversation back on track.
"He has news," Romeo said quietly.
"What kind of news? Good? Bad?" Alex asked. All eyes in the room were on Romeo, waiting for the news.
"Good," Romeo said. The others in the room sitting on the edge of their seats.
"Romeo, you better tell us what your news is soon or-" Ryan said, the anticipation getting to him.
"We've been asked to be on the Monica King Show next week," Romeo said, finally looking up from the spot he had been looking at on the floor. He had a huge grin as he looked at the shocked faces of his band mates.
"You mean one of the biggest talk show hosts in America? That Monica King?" Talon asked.
"That's the one," Romeo said. "Apparently she heard our single on the radio and loved it."
"Somebody pinch me, I think I'm dreaming," Ryan said. "This could be our break."
"I know," Alex says, getting up. "This calls for a drink."
