Ooh, this is... interesting! The prompts fit really well and I love all of the details you've provided about Karin's disguise, from the voice-spell to the breast-binding. I am so so looking forwards to seeing the rest of this AU-- I can imagine the looser outline already but still!

Also: Reida! Will she be making an appearance?

I had fun taking the dare and turning it inside out and playing with how much the real Kairn already has to deal with being called a girl (wait until Reida shows up...) And the whole idea of Sethan being able to have a girlfriend right under everyone's noses amused me.

Reida is my splitting point. Part 2 begins with her arrival and she will be playing a major role.

The bullies are, unfortunately, not too different from canon. Really, the major change is that in canon, they do get him in the dress often enough, since Sethan doesn't come to his rescue.

I came to realize when I was writing this that I tend to throw reverse gender stereotypes at my characters. Kairn's probably the most soft, nurturing character in my whole cast, and Lyssa...well, I'm thinking if I turned her into a man we might not like her so much.

I think Kairn is the only person in the world Sethan has anything remotely resembling a softer side for.

I don't even know what to say. This was great and so much fun to read. You hit all the spots that seem really important to male Kairn that would be different for Karin and the huge change in Sethan had he grown up rooming with a girl

I had to steal bits and pieces out of canon and twist them here and there. Thankfully, I think the characters all played nice with their altered roles. It didn't actually feel like too much of a stretch.

You better believe Reida's coming! And I couldn't possibly have girl Kairn without addressing the baby issue ;)

I think I kinda have a thing for girl-pretending-to-be-a-boy stories (blame those Alanna books...) so I love the set up. The "they thought you were a boy" turn around in the first scene made me laugh. There were a lot of funny moments (They're huge!!)...and the "You just touched one" part was amazing.

And ohhh man it wasn't much of a stretch to make them seem this couply, was it? XD part of me is like "well of course Sethan is using her" and part of me is also like BUT IT'S KAIRN, SO... I don't really know what to think! And I love that. Somehow the physical affection just works.

I was totally scared for Kairn in that last scene with the bullies-it was a really well done, intense scene. And I love how Sethan's plants save the day. I see what you mean about girl-Kairn being so damsel-in-distress, but it really isn't much of a stretch from canon and it doesn't seem off. She still fights back, she's just smaller and outnumbered so she doesn't come across as super weak or anything.

Love the last scene too.

Idk why but I had way too much fun making Sethan and Kairn talk abou and deal with boobs...

Why on earth would it be a stretch to see Kairn and Sethan all couply? ;) I'm glad you still doubt him though. We'll see what you think by the end (since you know I can't leave the baby out of this). And Kairn is such a damsel (canon or not).
