Chilling, and I really feel for Chloe here, with her disagreement that the first time was the hardest because next time she will know exactly what she caused.

She gets used to the killing part after a while. It's not a painful or bloody death, so it's easy for her to distance herself from it. As she gets older, though, she's able to control her powers better, and can steal energy from multiple people so nobody has to die from it.

Oh, this is beautifully written, and strangely sad for all it's frightening. I agree that the last couple of lines are the best.
