Oh man, some of these pauses. I'm particularly fond of "(7) And" and "No you total (4)" because I can just picture her expression while she's saying it.

This is a really cool format, once you get used to it. I might try it myself, with your permission.

You don't need my permission, discourse scripts are everywhere. :D They're just not used very much as a literary device because, well, they come out very jumbled. It's supposed to be "realism" which is why Adam was mincing his words so much, haha.

Not sure if anyone can actually tell what's going on here but... yep. XD

Thanks! This was quite a fun way of getting into their heads. :)

Love the format. We did Goethe and Schiller and stuff like that in school and never got around to discourse scripts and the like. Now I really want to try someday.

And the conversation feels real just like it's supposed to. Poor Adam though.

I'd imagine there are loads of transcripts floating around on the internet... we had to learn loads of terms like fillers and false starts and hedging and Grice's Maxims... that was the not-so-fun part, but most of it was pretty interesting. I enjoyed writing this. :) Thanks!

This is an interesting format, but I found it fairly easy to read after your explanation. Oh, Adam. You and your blissful ignorance. "Don't let my sister get married again?" was fantastic.

Yeah, discourse scripts are weird because there's no grammar and it's based purely on the sounds recorded so words that don't exist, etc, are all part of the format. Glad it was understandable! XD
