Holly always knows when she's dreaming. Tonight is different - her neurons are not firing this.
She's treading a quiet shore, mist and magic crackling everywhere. Beside her, there's a woman. They've met. Holly knows if she reaches for her, the woman will disperse across countless and infinite dreams. They've been through this.
"Holly," the woman pleads quietly, becoming the chill in the air. "You must surpass destiny. History will skew."
Holly still thinks this is ridiculous, but the dream is enough to make any poet cry, and she says nothing.
"Please," the woman sighs, and the dream dies around the woman's fading afterimage.

Sara, who is reasonable (if synchronized with the right reality), loathes being treated otherwise. She wonders if Richard and Evan know she's aware of their argument over who'll tell her they've been recalled. She wonders idly if they'll dismiss her intentions to stay.
How could she leave? Earth is glorious. There are such strange wonders, Scandinavian chocolates and a sky never truly lost to darkness, axolotls and fish cloaked in rainbows and god, two of them are hers.
Sara watches Spumoni's breathing, soft warm fingers curling gently round her heart. Earth, like her Sight, is beyond the ken of these lost boys.
