If you read a little about faeries, a lot of them are cruel, cunning, and vicious. I don't think the selkies would be too far removed from that behavior. It's not like they'd have any great love of human men, either.
(Yuriya could have done. Dana was basically just an example and a set-up, but I could elevate her to actual victim and not lose sleep over it.)

That aside, this was awesome. I loved that you didn't paint her as meek and indignant, which so often happens with this race. They're kickass, and you made her that. I like how it started off almost innocent - something was amiss, but not in any big way - and then it all came tumbling in toward then end.
In short, I loved it <3

Love this, though. It's wonderfully creepy and scary, and I agree with Miaybi about the darker twist to the selkie-myth. It makes Yuriya just that more scary, because she's something we can identify but behaving in a different, creepier way. Lovely job.
Especially love the "zip back up her skin" and the last pocky; they're really great phrasings.

Yeah, I didn't have much of an idea of Yuriya during the meme, but I knew Jaida would love her instantly if she didn't know Yuriya was a faerie.
