“Glenna, should I tell her?” Jake asked suddenly during lunch. But Jake was her friend too. It didn’t mean she doesn’t love him like Max does. After all, Maxene had Duke. She had Jake. She didn’t want to lose him now.But Glenna smiled and knew exactly what he meant. She nodded silently, her heart beating in conflict.
“Go,” She spoke quietly.
Jake kissed her cheek, blood instantly rushing there. The kettle blew, and Jake took it out to pour Glenna the hot water.
“You’re awesome. Thank you!” He said and ran to the field where Max was bound to be.
