An fotd about scriptures of questionable validity? You better believe I'm all over that. Cherry, cause I don't even know what to call this format. Random excerpts, I suppose? Anyway, I think it's probably the oddest format I've done, hope it works.

In mortal darkness, the divine shall intercede.

Fire rode at his right, Water at his left.
Those not consumed by one were, by the other, swept away.
- 32 AE - Nokuichi - Birth of the Empire

Where two shall enter, three emerge
The sum greater than all parts
- unknown origin

Two planes cross, the rules by which they do so clearly defined by the powers that govern them both.
These are the marks and these are the flesh, the implements by which the divine may touch the mortal.
The gods serve us as man serves them. One need but hold the proper instruments to bend the other to its will.
- 488 AE - Toshiro (accredited with discovery of sigils)

There is but one, and she is the key.
- unknown origin

What mortal may know
The hate that has taken root in eons
The patience of eternity
We would do well to remember
Our concerns are not their own
- 603 AE - Masakari

The very earth rose at her command, stony peaks launched towards the sky, casting a swift and impenetrable divide between the armies massed north and south.
- 607 AE - Evrard Wyram Ounil - in an account of the final battle of the revolution

Body and Stone in concert to draw Spirit
- unknown origin

Beware the spoils of curiosity
The repercussions of 'what if?'
Some experiments may not be undone
- unknown origin

Death, Herself, roams the land
Upon the shoulders of a boy
Piercing eyes and poison breath
All humanity to destroy
- 963 AE - "In Her Shadow" - Ilyani Sabella

Where you find Death, so shall you find me. I do not bring it, as some would say of me. I long no more to see man suffer than any man would. I do not worship Death. Nay I seek it, like a hound on its trail, at the beck of my Mistress. Ever closer, until I may sound the call to bring it down.
- 974 - Aurelius

Red and Blue from the same cloth
Black rises from the ashes
White descends in the storm
Green a motherless son
and Gold a child of her own creation
- unknown origin

The seed of the hand that defies Death
The child that will bring the Wrath of the One upon this world
- unknown origin

In time of need, the Portal answers to those who serve.
