Report Cards
So. Today I submitted the template for this term's report cards. At literally the last minute. Because I'm cool like that. And it took that long to translate the curriculum objectives from "we're trying to sound smart and made with the complex lingo" technical speech into "what the heck we actually want the teacher to teach" bare bones. I'm still not sure I understand some of the learning objectives and I'm pretty damn sure that a couple of them are reworded and scattered throughout the subjects multiple times. I'm also kind of miffed that instead of animals, kids need to learn about the five senses. *sniffle* The FUN part of kindergarten is the animal unit! And they're expected to sort things in - count them - not one, not two, not three but FOUR subjects (twice inScience, once in Math, and, randomly, in Personal Development)! *sigh* It's a process. Thankfully, it's a completed process.
