Sonia and I took an anniversary trip to Lake Tenkiller, which is located in northeast Oklahoma (the closest "sizable" towns are Muskogee and Talequah). I'd went there as a kid. It was a damn good chance for me to put my lifetime hunting and fishing license to use! I found a fishing guide, and ended up getting half a day on Friday (Halloween). We did really good! I ended up with a pretty good mess of Kentucky spotted bass and a 3.5-4 lb largemouth.
The following night Sonia and I had a little fish fry. The fish in the above picture was one of the ones that got fried up! :)
All in all I had a great time and look forward to going back. The trip reminded me of what it was like living in Oklahoma. It is very much "real country." Good stuff.
