an update from the front
hello minions.
here's a brief update for all you crazy cats out there:
-spent two amazing weeks on the east coast, north carolina and boston/arlington respectively. i had SUCH a great time in my old hometown catching up with all the crazies, going barhopping, dinning at hooters, navigating my way through arlington to visit people, and chilling with elizabeth and her mildly dysfunctional dog Phaedra. HURRAH! it was so good to see everyone i saw and be back in mASSachusetts. i miss it so much, and i hadn't remembered just how amazingly different it was from utah.
-oh utah. i've decided to become a bartender, and will be enrolling in bartendin school quite soon to get my certification. utah has positively absurd liquor laws, but i think i've found a place to learn all the wacky rules. i'm actually really excited about this. everyone here is so damn nice that, frankly, i'm sick of it. it'll be good to return back to the grimy atmosphere of nightlife, and to some barfights.... anything really to break the monotony.
-went to see my new psychiatrist for the first time to discuss this whole "ADD" thing, and just to kind of discuss my past mental history with someone closer to home. he was quite nice, but baffled by what i had to say. so. we're currently working to figure out if i might actually have ADHD, and quite probably, bipolar disorder. HA. take that brain. although it's weird learning about it all, it's starting to make more sense, at least retrospectively. even as the happy person i am now, it's good to better understand the way things work.
so that's the news.
oh, also my laptop is currently in the shop, HOPEFULLY getting fixed. so if you're looking around online for me, well, i won't be there, at least for a while. i'll try to check my email, etc. when i can, but we'll see.
