MidWinter

Jan 12, 2009 11:14

I have returned from my first MidWinter in one piece. I had a fabulous time and want to thank all of my friends for that. I had the chance to see so many of you that I haven't for years and many more for the first time. I fully appreciate why this is a must-attend event and will definitely be there again next year, barring life events.

From a game perspective, it was an interesting character-development time. I see the road the PC will be heading and it should prove quite amusing. There is nothing like being present for the announcement of Archon Fonzie and having a young gangrel bouncing next to me asking if I will introduce her since I obviously know everyone.

Other points of amusement:
    • Meeting a clanmate whose way of saying hello is "I'm going to put you in a box." If he likes you "OK, you can live, come to my dojo for treats."

• Placing an order for a "Garou Smoothy Machine." If you don't know what it is, don't ask.

• Making a deal with a Giovanni who owns a Nautilis and offers regular excursions

• Spending the longest hour of the PCs existence sitting next to the happy fun-ball known as Shade during the Toreador Roast and having him look at you for explanations of the jokes.

Thanks to all of you who made this weekend a fantastic birthday present....
