Hairball Confessional

"I was told by a priest, once, that God hates people like me. He sure makes it seem that way, nyan. Every time I make a wish, it twists...Every time I find something good, it breaks. Is it God? Is it luck? ...Is it me? Did I do something wrong, mya?" The woman in trenchcoat glanced at the window of the confessional, hoping that maybe, just maybe, ( Read more... )

Jun closes the door to the church behind him, a smile on his face as he approaches the young priest. A surge of dark aura surrounds him, but sadly, humans aren't generally built to pick up that sort of thing.

"..That was a close call, ne?" Jun inquires, casting a worried look to the door.

"Ah, my child. Forgive the display that was forced upon you. This place is safe now." The priest gives one one last glare to the door before shaking his head. Demons, in here of all places.

"You turned away a soul seeking guidance." Jun points out. Demon or human..it matters not to him. Pale fingers toy with the petals of a yellow iris in his shirt pocket. He offers an unnerving smile to the holy man.

"N...nyaa...? Joker-sama..." Nekomata brightened at the arrival of her savior, her hero...but only slightly. Jun Kuroda was gone, and he was her friend.

It's bittersweet for her.

"...Thank you, Joker-sama..." Though her tears only slowed slightly, she crawled over to the newly-arrived hellion and bowed before him, still on her knees. It's only proper.

Jun smiles slightly, and pats Nekomata on the head the way a master does their pet.

"It's not a trouble, Nekomata..Don't worry yourself over some foolish human. So many of them are enemies, it's almost not worth talking to any of them at all..."

He holds out a hand to her and that smile never leaves his face.

"Get up now. Let's cheer you up, if we can." There had to be more misguided fools inside perhaps. If not, Sumaru was a big city. They would find someway to amuse themselves.

Maybe...he's really not that different. This thought was all she needed to cheer up quite a bit, and she happily took his hand in hers.

"You always know how to, Joker-sama..." Of course, now that the respect part was over, she was free to hug him and nuzzle, aww. Purring, natch.
